Communication with other users
Communication with other users should only be done through Website messaging facility. It is strictly prohibited to share your contact details other than the username, with any other user of the Website. We will monitor user contents including projects, project bid details, user emails etc to find any such violation. Any user account involving in such violation will be suspended by us without any prior notice.
In these Website Standard Terms and Conditions, “Your Content” shall mean any audio, video text, images or other material you choose to display on this Website. By displaying Your Content, you grant workdesk.lk a non-exclusive, worldwide irrevocable, sub licensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and distribute it in any and all media.
Your Content must be your own and must not be invading any third-party’s rights. workdesk.lk reserves the right to remove any of Your Content from this Website at any time without notice.
User Account Suspension
We may suspend your user account if we found that you are not a Sri Lankan freelancer or you have participated in any of following activities.
Breaching this User Agreement
Could not verify your account
Using email address in the registration, which is not belong to you
Engage in any illegal activity
Sharing user contact details other than the username in the Website
Any other activity
In the event that we suspend your Account, you will have no claim whatsoever against us in respect of any such suspension or termination of your Account.
We may remove any user project if we found user or user project,
Breaching this User Agreement
Not taking necessary actions to move project to next step within 14 days
Projects with invalid data
Or any other reason
We have the full control over any project life cycle. In the event that we remove your project, you will have no claim whatsoever against us in respect of any such removal.
Subject to the User Contract, the Employer can make a Milestone Payment, which will be locked from the Employer's Account and cannot be claimed by the Freelancer until:
the Employer and Freelancer agree that the funds can be claimed by the Seller;
if there is a dispute, the Employer and Freelancer have concluded the Dispute Resolution Process and the Dispute is resolved in the Freelancer’s favour;
the Employer instructs us to pay a Freelancer for services performed by the Seller in respect of a Project or Contest; or
the Employer acknowledges that the Freelancer has completed the services fully and satisfactory.
If an Employer does not approve of the Freelancer’s work product, milestone payment issue will be automatically called the Dispute Resolution Process.
Dispute Resolution Service
Dispute Resolution Service is a negotiation service which tries to make negotiation between Employer and Freelancer. Both parties can tell their part of story to our resolution service team. Resolution service team will evaluate the situation and work done by the freelancer and will decide to whom payment should be dispatch. Before coming to a payment decision, resolution service team will try their best to resolve dispute by a negotiation. Final payment decision is been taken by us and users should accept our decision.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall workdesk.lk, nor any of its officers, directors and employees, shall be held liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Website whether such liability is under contract. workdesk.lk, including its officers, directors and employees shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of this Website.
Variation of Terms
workdesk.lk is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by using this Website you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.
The workdesk.lk is allowed to assign, transfer, and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms without any notification. However, you are not allowed to assign, transfer, or subcontract any of your rights and/or obligations under these Terms.
